How early can you tell the gender?
We now have early gender testing through blood that starts at 7 weeks!
We start gender ultrasounds at 15 weeks if desired. We guarantee the gender, meaning if baby is not cooperative then we will bring you back free of charge!
When/how will I get my early gender results?
If your blood is drawn Mon-Thur before 5pm you will get results through email the next day around 4-6pm. If it is drawn after 5 pm Mon-Wed you will get results 2 days later. If you have your blood drawn Fri-Sun you will have results by the following Tue. You can choose to have results sent to you or someone else through email. Occasionally the lab will require one extra day for sampling.
What if I am having twins, can I have early gender determination through blood work?
The blood test looks for male DNA in the fetal DNA found in mom's blood sample. In the case of identical twins, if male DNA is found, then both babies are boys. If no male DNA is found, then both babies are girls. For fraternal twins, finding male DNA means at least one baby is a boy, but cannot distinguish if the second is a boy or girl.
What's the earliest ultrasound I can have done for fun?
Our meet and greet ultrasound can be done 6+ weeks, after you have established prenatal care with your OBGYN.
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately because this is a non-diagnostic ultrasound, insurance will not cover our services. This is done just for fun.
When's the best time to come for the chunky 3D/4D face pictures?
We recommend coming in between 28-32 weeks. That way if baby isn't cooperative we still have some time to bring you back before they get too big and squished. But it's never really too late to see baby. It can get harder to get good images after 34 weeks.
Will all of my pictures come out cute?
Unfortunately each pregnancy and baby is different. There are many things that affect the quality of the picture like fluid level, location of placenta and babies position. But, if the baby is not cooperative we will bring you back free of charge for a second look.
Can I bring friends and family?
Yes! All are welcome. We can seat about 10 people comfortably, more are welcome. There is also a play area attached if you have any kids that want to come as well.
Can I do anything to improve my ultrasound?
Yes! We encourage you to drink A LOT of water for at least 3 days leading up to and the day of your appointment. A gallon of water a day is ideal, do not make yourself sick or uncomfortable. If your allowed to drink something with caffeine , try drinking soda or coffee about 5 minutes before your appointment when you get into the studio.
What if I don't want to know the gender yet?
We can keep a secret for you! We can put the gender in an envelope or even let you pick out the gender reveal item and we will grab pink or blue for you. Or if you are waiting until birth we can skip getting the gender of baby.
How much does my baby weigh?
Unfortunately this is considered diagnostic, and we can not take measurements to get the weight. This requires a physicians order.
How far along am I ?
Unfortunately this is also considered diagnostic, and we are not legally allowed to take measurements. However in the first trimester we can give an estimate depending on what baby looks like.
Can I hear my babies' heartbeat?
Yes! However ACOG recommends waiting until the second trimester to listen to the heartbeat with ultrasound. So in the first trimester we can see a heartbeat and measure how fast but not listen.
